Paul and Fiona Abadjian are organising a driving route and lunchtime get together on Tuesday 10th June.

Starting at about 10.30 from their home, Court Barn, Frampton Park DT2 9NH and wedding, gradually, to The Greyhound pub, in Sydling St Nicholas DT2 9PD for lunch at around 12.30.

All are welcome!

UK - East Midlands

 

Sunday 7th June - Summer meeting - Deene Park, near Corby

 

Our East Midlands Summer meeting will be held at the Northamptonshire Classic and Performance Motor Show. The event is being hosted in the grounds of the beautiful historic house of Deene Park, just outside of Corby. There will be a large number of classic cars, motorcycles and supercars in the displays as well as an Autojumble. Each car will receive a commemorative plaque on arrival. Throughout the day, judges will be looking for stand out vehicles for category prizes. Please contact Anne Mitchell (mrs.anne.mitchell@gmail.com) for details on how to book a slot. This is a great opportunity to get together in some lovely surroundings. Bring a picnic!

 

Sunday 5 July - The Stilton Cheese Run

 

Our first run of the year will start from Quorn near Loughborough. The run will take in 75 miles of fine driving roads around Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire. We will be passing three of the major creameries that make Stilton Cheese. There will also be a photo observation competition for navigators. No need to guess what the prize will be! We will finish the run with a late afternoon Group Sunday lunch in a country pub near Loughborough. 

 

Sunday 27th September - The Whittlebury End of Season Run

 

By popular demand and with the kind support of Jeff and Carol Sargeant, we will return to Whittlebury for our End of Season Tulip Run on 27th September. The details are still being worked out, but we are looking at a run with a possible coffee/light lunch stop and a late afternoon return to Whittlebury for an amazing Sunday carvery. Further details to follow.

Saturday 6 June: Riverside Transport Museum, Glasgow The E-type Club has been invited by the JEC to attend the Jaguar gathering at the museum on 6 June. Ian Findlay is coordinating attendance from the E-type Club and the Scottish members already have the details but it is open to all club members. £10 per car entry (unlimited passengers), all in support of Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA). Alongside free access to the museum, we’ll be celebrating key Jaguar anniversaries, including 65 years of the E-type.

David Hartwell will be at Browns Classics (www.brownsclassics.co.uk) first Saturday of every month, free to enter, lots of lovely classics and proceeds from bacon butties and coffees towards Thames Valley Air Ambulance. Let David know if you are attending and he’ll make sure to find you there.

David also registered for the Hampton Court Concours of Elegance on Saturday 5 September - so he’ll see you there!

Wednesday 3 June: Mike Hawthorn Memorial Track Day Including a gathering of Tommy Sopwith Equipe Endeavor Team Cars. The Goodwood Motor Circuit. Entry is by advanced booking only. The cost is £395.00 per car which includes the first driver. £100.00 per additional driver. Spectators: Free unrestricted admission, but please do not park in the paddock area. Thursday 23 July 2026: Lunchtime visit to Lore of the Sky at Compton Abbas Airfield Near Salisbury SP5 5AP. Last year some of the Hampshire members of both XK Club and E-type Club, visited the Lore of the Sky for lunch during the Warbirds event at the airfield. This made for a very enjoyable day with our cars all parked up in the Paddock with the aircraft as a backdrop. Michael has again booked this venue for Lunch on Thursday July 23. Sunday 16 August 2025: Simply Jaguar at Beaulieu Michael has requested a display area for E-type Club and XK Club again this year, following the great importance that members let me know that they are attending so that Beaulieu allocates the required amount of space. Turner Classics

You are invited to our 1st monthly spring & summer classic car meeting at the Stag in Challock.

If you could please RSVP to let us know if you will be attending, as we can inform the pub roughly how many people will be attending.
