As this year is the 65th anniversary of the E-type, we have arranged a special event to celebrate. It is fairly central in the country to try and be inclusive but if you fancy coming and you are travelling a long distance, why not turn it into a long weekend?

We are starting at The British Motor Museum and Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust in Gaydon, which is situated just up the road from the iconic Stratford-upon-Avon. Why not book a hotel for an extra few nights and enjoy all the town has to offer which includes:

  • Avonstock ’26 festival, taking place at the racecourse on 11 September, where you can enjoy live outdoor music and top tribute bands.

  • Cruise the River Avon – take a relaxing, scenic boat trip from the town centre.

  • Explore Shakespearean History: Tour iconic landmarks like Shakespeare’s birthplace and Anne Hathaway’s cottage.

What to expect at Gaydon:

We’ll begin the day with a coffee and a breakfast

roll, then time to look at the British Motor Museum’s fine collection and fascinating displays. The visit will also include a conducted tour of the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Collection Centre, offering a closer look at some classic vehicles. JDHT presents Jaguar’s history from 1922 to today by collecting significant vehicles, objects, artworks and archives that reflect its innovation.

Saturday evening – When you have seen everything you want at the car collections, you can make your way to your accommodation, if you choose to stay over, to freshen up before the evening entertainment. A three-course dinner has been booked at Stratford Manor, and there will be music appropriate to the era. If you still have the energy after your busy day, you can dance the night away.

Sunday – After a leisurely breakfast we will all meet up to set off for a scenic drive to the National Trust Hanbury Hall, which is located near Droitwich Spa. We have permission to park at the front of the hall to show off your lovely cars. We will have a guided tour of the building, followed by a picnic lunch. You will then have time to wander around the grounds at your leisure.

If you do decide to make a long weekend of it, there are plenty of interesting places to visit nearby, including the beautiful Cotswold villages, Warwick with its impressive castle, the riverside city of Worcester, and the historic town of Droitwich Spa. Nature lovers might enjoy the Malvern Hills for stunning walks and views, while garden enthusiasts can explore the magnificent Hidcote Manor Garden. With something for everyone, it would make a lovely opportunity to stay an extra day or two.

Book your E65, online. You can book the whole weekend or either day. We would love to see you there.
